 | Bright | Recent WVU grad here from Pennsylvania. Came to WVU not knowing a single person. Freshman year I lived in Summit and it was the greatest year of my life. Everybody living in the dorm was so outgoing and friendly/eager to make friends. Within the first week I had about 50 new friends who I still today communicate with. Course work is a challenge, but thats only to weed out the JERSEY TRASH. If you are hard working you will succed and do well here. If youre the type who is infulenced easy you will probably fail out. Dont get me wrong I use to go out Wednesday-Saturday, but you must know when to buckle down and do your shit. Over the past four years Ive made some great friends and have made memories that will last a lifetime. I wouldnt rather have gone to any other university. On a side not the city of Morgantown is a shithole bum infested hole in the wall, and the city really needs to do something to change the image. I would reccomend anybody thinking about attending WVU to visit for a weekend before attending. A real weekend as in getting blacked out and waking up having no idea where you are, then you truley will know if you can call WVU home or not | Social Life: A+, University Resource Use: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | I chose to attend West Virginia over UGA,Georgia Tech, University of Florida, and LSU. To me, it was the only school I had found that was a perfect mix of a fun state school as well as a reputable engineering school. Yes,being an out of state student, I will admit the first week was a bit unsettling, but what I love most about Morgantown is the school spirit. I made friends fast, and I always have fun. Yes, it is a party school. Yes, there are some people here who I look at and wonder how they even managed to graduate high school. But I love it. I am never bored here. The professors are more then willing to meet with you, and it is ideal for someone like me because after class, I can go back to my dorm, study for a few hours, and then go out at night. What it comes down to is the fact that if you want to get drunk every night, you can, and there will be plenty of people right there with you. Or you can stay in the study room all night, get work done, and find a group of friends to join you. Or you can be like me, and work your butt of Monday-Thursday, have an incredible weekend, then wake up Sunday and do it all again. All in all, I can't imagine myself being anything but a Mountaineer, and I am so glad I came here. | Education Quality: A+, Campus Maintenance: B- | | | |
