Positive Negative Neutral Advice
I think Winthrop University and the Graduate facultyArt & Design Department
I think Winthrop University and the Graduate faculty stretched me both as an artist and intellectualy, while some of my seminal experiences in Grad School came outside of the school, they were all then directly related to my thesis and the process within the department was conducive to a thorough exploration of my potential. The faculty was outstanding and the many talented undergraduates contributed to the vibrant quality of the Department of Art and Design. The facilities were above average and are in the process of growing and improving. Student studios were abundant but competitive distribution was required for the large numbers of students who requested them. Any problems I encountered were ultimately worked out within the department. Overall it was a unique opportunity to work with a large group of creative and energetic individuals throughout the department. Studios were occupied almost 24 hours a day by some undergrads and faculty. The campus is gracious and nicely contained. Rockhill is trying to be a college friendly town and, while it is a southern city of relative small size, it is attractive and pleasent. It is near enough to Charlotte, NC, to make that much larger city

accessible.I think a student has only to commit themselves to their art work, their passion and take advantage of the Art Departments recourses. Faculty mentors abound for the serious student.

Question
I followed a boyfriend to this college withoutEducation
I followed a boyfriend to this college without doing any research about it. We eventually broke up (a good thing) but I was stuck at the college with 2 more years to go (bad thing). When you are stuck at a state college that is nothing but a truck stop with too many Pizza Huts, and girls outnumber guys 5-1, it makes for a really boring time, not to mention that the teachers weren't that good.

Lessons: Follow your own path--stay away from corn-fed Iowa farm boys, and REALLY research your school so that you obtain the course of study you deserve and that is worthy of you. I hate Kirksville.

Question
This college hurt meBusiness - Management and Administration
This college hurt me more than anything. Even though I graduated with their degree I still had to start out at the bottom, right where I would have started without schooling. So I was out about 10 grand for nothing.
