Chaos comes with the fashion territory
by The Poly Post

Mar 09, 2009
“Clothes flying everywhere with girls and guys running around in underwear. No, this isn't the shoot of some adult film, it's backstage at the Rock the Runway fashion show. While all seemed seamless out front, there was utter chaos at times in the back. This is not because we were unorganized.”

In the end
by The Poly Post

Mar 09, 2009
“Wake up dammit. We have become docile creatures, fearful of actually challenging those around us. From our co-workers to our employers - and even our closest friends - we're always keeping the thought of others in mind and not ourselves. Is it society's fault that we are comfortable suppressing our voices? Has the dread of being honest been embedded into our heads? Don't be mistaken, there is a fine line between truth and cruelty, but sometimes you have to stick up for what you believe in and, most importantly, yourself.”

Dealing with digital detox
by The Poly Post

Mar 09, 2009
“Two long weeks have passed since I went cold turkey and the shakes have subsided. My leg twitches have passed and no longer do I constantly search for something, anything, to keep myself busy. My will, once a dry twig, ready to snap at a moment's weakness before the craving, is now strong.”

Broncos split four game series
by The Poly Post

Mar 09, 2009
“Cal Poly baseball has had some tough luck on the road this season, but that may be turning around. Out of 11 away contests, the Broncos have only brought back three victories, two coming this past Sunday against Cal State Monterey Bay. The first away win came against Cal State Stanislaus and it was a big one, breaking the Warriors' 13 game-winning streak.”

However, the Broncos' hopes for a CCAA tournament championship ended Friday night in San Bernardino as they lost to the Cal State Monterey Bay Otters, 54-49, in overtime.”

Ten weeks of sexless Ed
by The Poly Post

Mar 09, 2009
“She had to be blonde, family oriented, and religious. She couldn't have tattoos, piercings outside of her ears, or a foul mouth. She shouldn't smoke, drink heavily, or rely on other people to boost her own self-confidence. Basically, Barbie. What started as my simple standards have caused me to become judgmental of every girl that I could have found interest in, but didn't.”

“Dear Poly Post: as a weekly reader of your paper I'd like to commend you on great job you do every week. The articles are always great, but there's one thing in particular I look forward to each week when I read your paper, and that is the comic "Life with Poly.”
