People arrived to wait outside the location at University Mall as early as 8 p.”

“Just as it looked like No. 7 UC Davis was going to keep its perfect record in WWPA play alive, a familiar foe stepped into the pool.
For the second time in row, the Aggies fell as the Lions' prey by a one-goal margin in overtime.
The Aggies, however, did manage to defeat three other conference opponents at the LMU Invitational to walk away from the weekend with a strong 3-1 showing.”

California Supreme Court hears gay marriage case

The California Supreme Court heard oral arguments Tuesday in what could be the last step in the legal battle over gay marriage in the state.
The case began in 2004 when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom chose to go against California law by issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.”

Students go the distance during 24-hour dodgeball event

“Fifty-six teams and approximately 500 students took part over the weekend in the annual event DodgeballPalooza. The 24-hour tournament, which ran from 5 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday, provided participants the opportunity to dress ridiculously, stay out all night and peg their friends and foes in the face while doing it.”

“Although those in attendance at the Internship and Career Center's "Career Speed Dating" event may not have experienced true love, many found opportunities for professional lives they could be compatible with.
The event was a career showcase and consisted of one professional at a table of six to seven students.”
