California Supreme Court hears gay marriage case

The California Supreme Court heard oral arguments Tuesday in what could be the last step in the legal battle over gay marriage in the state.
The case began in 2004 when San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom chose to go against California law by issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.”
Students go the distance during 24-hour dodgeball event

The 24-hour tournament, which ran from 5 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday, provided participants the opportunity to dress ridiculously, stay out all night and peg their friends and foes in the face while doing it.”
