"We lose 1,000 to 1,200 students a year [to suicide]. That's two to three students a day," said Barry Schreier, director of Counseling and Mental Health Services and one of the organizers of this year's Suicide Prevention Week.”

He murdered five people that day, wounded 16 others and then killed himself. This follows two people were shot dead at Louisiana Technical College the week before.”
