Loner, party of one Single for the summer
by Chicago Flame
Jan 01, 2018
“The holiday season is notorious for being the roughest time to be single. Anywhere from late November until mid February is sheer hell (and this can last until the beginning of April, depending on your possible romantic attachments to April Fool's Day). However, popular to contrary belief, the summer is the worst season to be single.”

by Chicago Flame
Jan 01, 2018
“Jimmy Collins has manned the fort as UIC's Head Men's Basketball Coach for the last 14 years. He has racked up more wins than any other coach in school history, finishing with a final record of 218-208. Named head coach on March, 27 1996, Collins took over a squad that had never made a post-season appearance and reached a plateau 20 wins in a season only twice in the previous 49 years.”

Summer loving had me a blast
by Chicago Flame
Jan 01, 2018
“Imagine yourself walking along the Chicago lake front on a hot summer's night with the city's skyline lit up next to you while holding the hand of that special someone. Sounds absolutely romantic. Everyone thinks that spending the summer single is the way to go, but summer romances don't get the credit they deserves; they can be the best thing to happen to you.”

by Chicago Flame
Jan 01, 2018
“One of the best things summer in Chicago has to offer is it's wealth of festivals, whether a block party like Wicker Park Fest or a massive musical gathering like Lollapalooza, these are the times when Chicagoans hit the pavement en masse.? Especially at the larger festivals, fashion takes a front seat; this is a chance to experiment and show off style know-how for an audience that will appreciate or at least take your forward outfit into consideration.”

The provost steps down
by Chicago Flame
Jan 01, 2018
“To reach the 28th floor of University Hall the student must take an elevator to the 27th floor, walk past a number of administrators' offices down one of two hallways, and then take another, special elevator that operates between the 27th and 28th floors. One hallway is dull and cramped, with nondescript walls, poor lighting, and tile floors.”
