BroBible forum brings important issues to forefront
by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“Last week, the Greyhound published a piece of mine on Take Back the Night and Sexual Assault Awareness Week. When deciding to write it, there was something that did not feel entirely right with the theme of the week: the BroBible forum. My opinion, which many echoed, was that although I was disgusted with the way Loyola women (and men) were stereotyped, people were making 'too much of a big deal' out of a Web site that is not supposed to be taken seriously.”

by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“Loyola's education focuses around cura personalis, the education of the whole person. In doing so, the University encourages students "learn, lead and serve in a diverse and changing world." Through their classes, athletics and extra-curricular activities, students develop and adopt "strong truths.”

2010 NFL Draft Round 1: pick by pick thoughts and analysis
by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“1. St. Louis Rams- QB Sam Bradford, Oklahoma
Despite a week full of trade speculation and rumors, the Rams stuck put and got their guy at the quarterback position. All reviews for Bradford seem positive, as he has the arm strength to make all of the throws and has the mental make-up to be an NFL quarterback.”

Bank of America looks past crisis, offers a stable career path
by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“Michael Collins, a Bank of America representative, came to campus Tuesday night to quell those fears that graduating seniors often have about the outlook of the economy and inspire interest in entry-level positions in the area. Michael is the high volume recruiter for tellers and other entry-level positions for the 120-130 branches in the greater Baltimore area.”

Thumbs Up Thumbs Down
by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“Thumbs Up
Mother Nature, sometimes you pull through. Your boy Al Roker told me that it was supposed to be gross, but it wasn't bad at all. I am a little mad I didn't get to wear my rain boots, but the nice weather only enhanced the insanitity that was.”

by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“While competing in the Penn Relays, a historic and prestigous track and field event, the Loyola 4x800 relay team set a new school best of 9:36:78. The team is made up of Jackie D'Anotnio, Courtney McNamara, Alyssa Doyle, and Emily Doucette.
The old school record, which was set just three years ago in 2006, was merely less than a second higher then the new record set by the squad.”

by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“On a cool, cloudy afternoon at the Ridley Athletic Complex, Loyola's 13th-ranked women's lacrosse team managed to avoid a calamitous result against a Villanova squad that is still searching for its first Big East win, topping the Wildcats 17-15 in an affair that saw the visitors refuse to allow the Greyhounds to pull away.”

by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“The seventh ranked Loyola men's lacrosse team improved their record to 9-2 while maintaining their perfect conference record against winless Hobart College. The Statesmen have yet to record a conference win, but tend to step their game up when playing an elite opponent like the Greyhounds.”

The Clearspring Band gains new members and new popularity
by The Greyhound

Jan 01, 2013
“At this point at Loyola, if you haven't heard of The Clearspring Band, you're pretty unobservant. Between the amount of times they've played on and off campus, the posters for Loyolapalooza and the support of Father Jack, these guys have been seen around campus for a while now.”
