ICS teams gear up for six months of service abroad

New 'Information Assurance' major to be offered

To help train students in the field of information protection, the Southwest Baptist University Accounting Department announced the development of a new major, Accounting and Information Assurance (AIA), effective with the 2011-2012 academic year.”

Football hosts golf outing in July

Seniors grapple with graduation anxieties

Al-Qaida to 'continue on the path of jihad'

“Osama bin Laden's death will not end terror in the world. SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors Islamist Web sites, said al- Qaida released a statement Friday, May 6 confirming the death of its leader, Osama bin Laden.
The statement also encouraged Pakistanis to "rise up and revolt" and included threats to take action against the United States, according to CNN.”

Volleyball releases Fall 2011 schedule

“The Southwest Baptist University Volleyball Team will open up their 2011 season in Canyon, Texas, during the West Texas Lady Buff Classic Tournament.
The Bearcats will play 33 games this season and will attend four different tournaments throughout the season.”

Track and Field excels at Conference

“The Southwest Baptist University Bearcats finished the 2011 MIAA Championships Sunday afternoon in Emporia and came away with some spectacular finishes.
The women's 4x100 and 4x400 relay's took second place in the meet, earning all-conference honors, and on the men's side sophomore Phillip Miller took second in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, earning all-conference honors.”
