“Israel sent ground forces into the Gaza Strip on December 27, 2008, a small and densely populated Palestinian area that has been occupied by Israel for the past 41 years. The stated objective was to stop Hamas rockets that were being fired into Israel. The resulting death toll was estimated at 1,300 Palestinians, of which Palestinian officials and human rights groups claim about 900 were civilians, though the Israeli military denies this and puts the figure at 300.”

Men's Volleyball Looks for Strong Finish

“Men's Volleyball faced off against Springfield and Harvard this past week, in which the Highlanders were defeated in both matches. NJIT first traveled to Springfield losing 3-0, before traveling to Harvard, losing 3-1. The Highlanders' record is now 3-10 on the season as the Highlanders gear up for their five-match spring break trip, after their match against Rutgers-Newark.”
