What the heck is CCTEC?
by Cornell Business

Apr 30, 2009
“Talk of improving our rankings is not uncommon at the Johnson School. Although most, if not all, of the popular rankings are as arbitrary as AAA ratings from Standard & Poor's, somehow they serve as legitimizing criteria that build reputation and attract top applicants.”

Sneak Preview: Class of 2010
by Cornell Business

Feb 20, 2008
“For the last three months, I have heard rumors of an incredible admissions year for the Class of 2010. Curious to know how strong the class will be, I asked Randall Sawyer to share the details behind the hype. As it turns out, we are well on our way to break the all time record for number of applications to the Johnson School (3,054)! Here are some of the stats on our future classmates (as of January 28th):
• Number of Applications: 2,561 (up 30% from this time last year)
• Of those offered admission, the average GMAT is 703
• Of those accepting admission, the average GMAT is 695
• 64% of applicants are international (from more than 70 countries, with India leading the way with nearly 700 applications)
• Of those accepting admission, 37% are international
• Of those accepting admission, 26% are female
• Average work experience is 5 years
Impressed with the numbers, I asked Randall if he had data related to some other key indicators I thought were particularly insightful when judging a candidate's ability to succeed at Johnson.”
