Comment:
"
Attending Agnes Scott College was the best thing that has ever happened to me. The academic environment was rigorous, challenging, and the most rewarding experience I have ever had. The faculty are on a par with those from the best colleges and universities in this country. The small class sizes allow close interaction with these professors. Every class I took was taught by a PhD (or equivalent in their field), who imparted a love and enthusiasm for their discipline and the art of learning. I think there is no substitute for the critical thinking taught in this liberal arts curriculum.

Being a women's college, Agnes Scott offers a unique environment to explore issues specific to women and build lasting friendships with other intelligent, committed, and thoughtful women. Social opportunities exist; however, they are much more limited than at co-ed schools. One must "seek out" a dating life, but it is possible. The environment is highly academic and can be stressful for the student with high standards for herself, but it is also rewarding and enjoyable for those with a true love for learning. I sacrificed some of the "normal" benefits of a co-ed college life, but the skills, confidence, values, and amazing friends I have now were well-worth the trade-off. One hundred times over.
