I recommend that a student find the most interesting courses, the most interesting professors, and spend time with the most interesting and intelligent fellow-students - and studiously avoid learning anything supposedly practical - because the practical is useless when you get out. If you're interested in business - take math, econ and history. If you're interested in journalism - take history, English, and poli sci. DO NOT TAKE UNDERGRADUATE BUSINESS or JOURNALISM or other bullshit courses - I've taught them and you are cheating yourself. Learn the traditional disciplines - it's your last chance, and you'll be glad for the rest of your life.
