Behrend was an excellent choice for me. A very good combination of small college and big university. The close interaction with the faculty is what sent me on my chosen career path, to become a professor myself. The campus is beautiful, although the weather isn't the best. The social scene was a bit weak when I was there, but I understand definitely improving. The great thing Behrend did manage was to expand my worldview, something that you often don't find at a smaller school. I definitely gained an appreciation for the diversity of people in the world, and that is at the heart of a university education. The honors program is fantastic, as are the many cultural opportunities on and off campus.
