UofI is a great school to go to. You have to deal with the rich suburban kids and the frats and sororities. The social life is great with around 13 bars on campus. Use the frats for beer and dancing, but stay away from their group mentality. Illini Tower is full of the Glenbrook North HS hazing spoiled hazing students who join greek life. Meet people through your smaller discussion sections head by TAs who can be easier than a real professor.
The campus is beautiful with always things going on outside of the bars.
