I attended the Associates of Occupational Studies in Computer Programming and System Analysis, but completed only a diploma, which is half of the way to the Associates degree.
This college is what I call a "degree factory" - an institution that concentrates more on making money and pumping out degrees than educating the students. The school advertises high standards, career placement/assistance, and an advanced curiculum that is at the top of the industry. However, I found this untrue.

The classes were deliciously small but moved slowly because the students did not have the technical knowledge needed for the class (one student could not locate the Windows start button). The curriculum prepared students for internships within large companies but not for freelance work (we could code a basic program but it could not save or print). The students who attempted certifications passed, but by barely more than a few points.
At one point, late in one of my Java phases, I missed two weeks of lessons and came back to class on a test night that covered those missed lessons. It was open book and I aced the test, while all my other classmates, who had been there for the lessons, got C's and below!

The career placement included a department with computers where you could search Monster and CareerBuilder and some emplyees who would review your resume. Most people were not placed in careers related to their education.

The teachers were foreign and difficult to understand. Some, like Dennis Attawia, were challenging, informative, and full of support. Most others just collected a paycheck.

Rumor has it (a person who knows a person who went there), that the school was sued for charging tuition based on income and lost. However, this is not confirmed.

In the end, I learned a lot about myself and learned to thouroughly research a college before you attend - but that is information that can be learned at any college. I am paying 14k for it, and I wish someone had warned me. Hopefully, those who read this, will be smart and learn those lessons AND get an education from somewhere else!
