in the art department, the best class I ever took that helped me in my art career was "Business Professional Arts." I reccomend it for every art major. BYUI has been the backbone of my life. It helped shape me to be a leader in my church, and to be a good example for those around me. I loved the atmosphere, the helpfulness of the teachers and faculty, the rexburg area, I wish I could relive my college days all over again. I have taken the spirit of ricks with me wherever I will go, and It has been the most enjoyable ride of my life. I reccomend college students to get involved in extra curricular activities any way they can, because it enhances the time you are at BYUI, and don't forget to stop and say hello and make friends to as many people as you can. The students at BYUI are all amazing people who can uplift your life. Also, it may be difficult, but try to challenge yourself to go to every devotional. Get a notebook purely for the devotional notes, and write down inspirational thoughts from the speakers throughout your college years. It will be a cherished momento when you leave. The campus is continually growing and changing, so take pictures of the places that mean the most to you because it may not be there or will be altered 50 years from now. Also, the Rexburg temple has been built, try if you can to go to the temple every other week. This may be the only chance you will have a temple so close by, and the ancestry archives needed to do a lot of work for your family. Most of all, stay positive and have fun. This is a special experience to go to this college, and I'm so glad you are going to a place that was the most special part of my life.
