| Feb 28 2011 | I inquired about this college based on a recommendation and I specifically inquired about their ?Distance Learning? Program. To my amazement, the designated rep for the Distance Learning was of no value to me as a prospective student. I asked very simple and basic questions pertaining to the expectations as far as whether exams are proctored, and if so, where; if all coursework can be completed online, and general questions centered around these issues. This woman (S. Rowland) knows nothing. She was emailing me prior to a telephone conversation we had where I asked her for assurance that the coursework can all be completed via distance learning, because I am nowhere near Danville, VA. She could not tell me much of anything, in fact, she told me ?she would not be able to guarantee anything, as it?s up to each instructor how they go about learning.? DO YOU OR DO YOU NOW OFFER A DISTANCE LEARNING PROGAM AVERETT? Most people enrolling in a distance learning program kind of need to know this information and whether they will be able to COMPLETE A DEGREE PROGRAM. She as very snooty as if I am supposed to enroll somewhere with no information, not knowing if I will be able to graduate?..she was ridiculous. Furthermore, I mistakenly mentioned my age (over 40) and everything stopped there. She ceased all communications at that point. If you are thinking about attending this University, don?t. This woman is a very poor representation for a college. Students INVEST a lot of money into a FUTURE FOR THEMSEVLES. I don?t know many people who will just coast along in a degree program willing to be stuck if a particular instructor calls shots not conducive to their location or distance learning. This college wants to lift no finger for any student that will be stiffed with at least a 40K tuition bill, not to mention books, and that?s minimum. There are too many colleges out there who want your money, but hey, what would I expect from a college in Danville, I guess. |
