Biology
You have to submit either ACT or SAT scores, so study.
Business - Management and Administration
I just applied & got accepted. It's not hard to get in.
Education
Do you have at least some of your brain functioning left? you will be welcome with open arms- and could be one of the classroom stars!
Education
Believe me, I was treated like royalty. They are looking for students like me. I was one of 150+ weekday students that actually lived in the dorms. They are trying to become a real "college". I was white, not pregnant, didn't have any kids, unmarried and had money.
English
I did a little on-line research, to make sure Alverno had the program I wanted (English). Then, I applied on-line (no application fee that way). I had to send in ACT scores and transcripts from high school, too. In less than a month, my acceptance letter came. I would recommend that other students contact the admission office for info on Alverno and speak to their high school guidance counselor.
| Psychology
Alverno College has a unique and sometimes frustrating admissions policy. They accept everyone who fulfills the requirements, considering the program has spaces available. While this is hard for those who were validictorians, the "bad seeds" usually weed themselves out within the first few years. Alverno is demanding but if you step up, what you gain is priceless.
History/Histories (art history/etc.)
alverno was easy to get into as they have "brush up class" at alverno you can spend over a year in come cases taking non-credit classes
History/Histories (art history/etc.)
I submitted my college transcripts and ACT scores and about a month later I recieved my acceptance letter. If you are looking for a competitve school, look elsewhere as here everyone helps everyone else out. Also, it's an all women college, so make sure you can deal with that before you come here.
Communications
I simply applied. I was a transfer student with good grades. Alverno will give most students the opportunity to succeed or fail -- you choose.
Political Science
I called admissions, set up an appointment, toured the school, talked to current students and took the admissions test. Everything was painless and each step made me excited for the next. The most important thing is to research the school and the ability-based learning philosophy before you apply--know what you're getting yourself into before you start paying tuition.
