I did well in high school and got serious about what I wanted to become in life. I recommend seriousness and sincereness, with regards to your life's education. Only then will you experience all the joys of a HBCU.
Biology
I applied to many HBCU's and I had good exam scores and grades. If this is the college you want to attend study for your ACT and SAT and get good grades.

Business - Management and Administration
ASU, because of its HBCU background and what it was founded for, does not have very stringent admissions standards, and scholarships are available for people who may not meet the traditional requirements for receipt. Therefore, it is fairly easy to get into the school. However, be advised that just because its easy to get in doesn't mean it will be easy to stay in, and be prepared to work on the same level that you would on any other college campus!
Journalism
Study hard and stop believing that because it is not Ivy League that you won't get a job. I command a high salary and had a job a month before graduation.

Math
be yourself first of all, and if it is meant for you to be here than you have nothing to worry about. And getting in good with someone at admission helps.
