I had to complete the application but there wasApr 21 2009Accounting
I had to complete the application but there was no essay required to get in. I think an essay is required to get in now. Make sure you have plenty of volunteering experience and good grades (I had a 4.3 average in high school but I recommend at least a 3.4 to get in). AP classes will help you get in and if you have passed any AP classes you will likely get credit for some of the core classes. Less emphasis is being placed on SATs but it is important to at least have a decent score. If you are an all around good student with volunteer experience, you shouldn't have a problem being accepted.

It wasn't hard to get in, I don't believeMar 23 2009Anthropology
It wasn't hard to get in, I don't believe. Apparently since the whole football nonsense things have tightened up a bit. I had a 3.7 GPA and I think over 900 SAT-I know my math was disproportionately low. My ACT was higher but I do not recall. I was accepted right away, and I have since transferred to New York. If you are set on this university-apply more than once if you are rejected. Do volunteer work. Speak with current students and helpful faculty. Make yourself known instead of being a number.

Admissions is getting more and more selective thanks toApr 20 2008Art & Design Department
Admissions is getting more and more selective thanks to publicity brought on by 3 straight national championships. Just work hard in classes - AP courses are wonderful because you don't have to sit in large lecture halls just to get a couple of designators on your transcript. Volunteer work is always a plus, as are extracurricular activities

Send in all paper work and applications a yearJan 09 2008History/Histories (art history/etc.)
Send in all paper work and applications a year early. ASU is not the hardest place to get in, but it does take a little elbow work, and good test scores.

As long as you have a reasonable GPA--3Jan 16 2004Political Science
As long as you have a reasonable GPA--3.0 and above, and an ok SAT you shouldn't have a problem getting in. If you want to be a part of Watauga apply early!
