I took IB courses in high school, and participated in activities not just in school but outside of school. Volunteer activities, too!

If you really want to go here you first need to be really, really rich or incredibly, incredibly persistent. You need to be involved in something political. (I was involved in rally organization and awareness campaigns in high school. My room mate was a campaigner for Obama in 2008.) Maintain above a 3.0 gpa and make sure you're taking the hardest classes available at your school. It also helps to have other leadership activities under your belt.

Getting in is pretty easy. Just have a high enough ACT or SAT score and American University will be glad to take your money from you.
