My high school was awful. I hardly cracked a book and got into Auburn with a 21 ACT. Thankfully, I learned how to study during my late undergraduate years and during my graduate years at UNC-Chapel Hill. Although a similar comment may be said about other states, the State of Alabama must make a commitment to the quality of its high schools and its teaching standards. Wake up Politicians and Citizens!
