I had to audition and submit an applicationDec 12 2010Other
I had to audition and submit an application. That's it. They don't even NEED your ACT and SAT scores. I was told right then and there that I was accepted.

I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody. Some of the other departments might be okay, I've heard mixed things about them. But personally, I'm telling everyone I know to NEVER go to AMC.

Getting in for me was very easyMay 24 2009Criminal
Getting in for me was very easy. I sent my transcripts with two recommendations, i wrote a cover letter and sent in my sat scores, i never had great grades in highschool but i still got in, although i heard they are making it harder to get in now with the vision 2012 plan

AMC is not very difficult to get in toDec 06 2008Psychology
AMC is not very difficult to get in to. Write a good essay and do your best in high school. Do well on your SATs and you can qualify for the honors program. (Yes, they only look at SAT scores to determine this.) Good luck

I had a 3Aug 29 2008Psychology
I had a 3.60 GPA in high school, took honors for most of my classes, and was involved with numerous extracurricular activities. I was admitted to Anna Maria's Honors program and I received a $10,000 merit scholarship.
For your typical student, it isn't very hard to get in here. I know many people who had under a 3.0 GPA (some even had under a 2.0) and had no difficulty being admitted. Just write a good essay and do your best in high school.

Talk to the admissions counselorsAug 02 2004Criminal
Talk to the admissions counselors. They love to get to know you and will always answer your questions. SAT's are not a huge factor, but extra curriculars are and so is community service. If you write a really well formed sincere essay with your application, expect to make it in, and....expect to perhaps see a nice scholarship come your way from the school.

If you apply early, the better your chances are of getting in. So apply in september or october, instead of march. Good luck!
