Essay (7) | Very selective. Admissions is very tough, they don't always choose the highest GPA and SAT rather they look at your whole image and what you can offer to their school. The Jesuit mission is very different from other non-religiously affiliated schools, bear that in mind as you apply!  make sure you have the minimum sat scores and gpa or at least close to it. if youre not sure youll get in, ill let you in on a little secret: part of the weight of your application is the high school you went to, moreso the people from you high school that have gone to BC-if no one has gone it wont hurt you, if people have gone and done well itll up your chances. extracurriculars and community service is a big thing for admissions. also work hard on your essay, a good essay will make up for anything else you are lacking-make sure it says something about you, the person you are, and what you will contribute to the college
1) Stay involved in High School sports/clubs (the college's student body is very athletic, with most students playing at least one varsity sport in high school)2) Take high-level AP courses and succeed in them 3) Be sure to mention your volunteer work on your application, and write your college essay about something very dear to you- BC looks for the whole package 4) Don't worry about below-average SAT scores- again, BC looks at everything Communications
