Essay (7) |
Though BC has a relatively low acceptance rate nowdays, it's not 'that' hard to get in with above average test scores, pretty good courses & grades (honors classes, APs definitely will strengthen your chances tremendously), and decent extracurriculars. If BC is a reach, applying early action might also prove somewhat helpful as well. Also, because BC doesn't interview its applicants, the essay is your only chance to "personalize" yourself to the admissions committee. Make sure it really shows some reallypositive aspect of your personal character (e.g. community work, determination, etc.) especially since BC is a Catholic Jesuit school.
