Like most larger public universities, its not very competitiveAug 14 2011Psychology
Like most larger public universities, its not very competitive. They give a lot of chances to people who are interested but didnt do well in high school. The hardest part is staying in once accepted. Many students are kicked out after their first year for partying too hard and not doing work.

BGSU is a public school so admission is almost guaranteed, especially for an in state student.

BGSU has a high acceptance rate, so just tryFeb 18 2011Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
BGSU has a high acceptance rate, so just try your best to have an average-excellent gpa/act/sat. Also, try to be involved in extracurricular activities in high school... that never hurts.

FINE ART STUDENTS ONLY: accumulate a portfolio, keep your best artwork from high school, keep a sketchbook of some kind and have conceptual ideas behind your artwork.
Keep all your projects from your foundation studios that you'll do your freshmen/sophomore year in college, those will help you pass the portfolio review.

Getting in is pretty easyJun 04 2010Psychology
Getting in is pretty easy. However, I would HIGHLY recommend taking AP courses in high school, as they are likely to reward you for it.

If you have a reasonable high school GPA (aboveApr 01 2009History/Histories (art history/etc.)
If you have a reasonable high school GPA (above a 2.0) and have at least taken the ACT (regardless of what you received) you will most likely get in. Keep in mind that some of the majors (such as nursing) are competitive so if you decide to go there, make sure you keep your grades up so you may have the most options.
