If you go to another school b/c you want to, but you know God wants you to go to a different school, you won't be happy! (I have heard this from so many people!) Another big thing when considering colleges....visit them! The best way to get to know a school, the faculty and the students is to see what they are like firsthand! That will also help you determine if the school is the best fit for you. Also, look at the BJU website (bju.edu) and take a look at all of the majors offered and see if what you are wanting to do is there. BJU doesn't have a very "strict" admission process, if you are considering applying, do! It's free online too! I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. I had no extracurricular activities (parents wouldn't allow it). I took no entrance exam, submitted no application. I graduated from BJA, and was just waived up. I sent in an application. The application does require references. The ACT is also a requirement.
It is not difficult to get in if you have a desire to attend a Godly Bible-believing school. I would recommend that you work very hard in high school. Though their acceptance policy is fairly liberal when it comes to grades, they do not pass you just because you attended class. You have to be able to earn the grade even if that means taking the class over and over. They'll accept anyone as long as you pay the fee. I knew a guy that got a 14 on the ACT and got in. |
