Make it clear that it's your first choice, and KNOW about the school. Also, schedule an interview.

Make sure you have an interview. It is said that they are looking for a certain 'type of girl' to admit, and I think that may be correct to a point.

Show your inviduality! I was an excellent student in the humanities and social sciences, and a terrible math student. But I participated in a wide array of extra-curricular activities, wrote a great essay about my experiences, and interviewed well-- all of which seemed to do the trick.
