If you are a minority or live in aFeb 21 2006Business - Management and Administration
If you are a minority or live in a country other than USA/Canada, or your parents have lots of money, thats all you need to get into BU. They even have a "special" school (CGS), for those whose parents can shell out full tuition but the students didn't perform well enough to get into the other colleges at BU.

Definitely one of the greatest mistakes of my lifeFeb 08 2006Biology
Definitely one of the greatest mistakes of my life was comming to this university. Its only great strength is that Boston University is in fact in Boston, probably the greatest college city in America. The only consolation is that since it is a large school it has a good mix of students and you are almost guareenteed to find fellow students and even faculty that you could laern to appreciate. But again because of its large student body there are plenty of students and faculty who are just plain asses as well. Before considering Boston University make your the major you are looking at is something you really want or something that you see yourself being able to use later in life. Remember once you matriculate at Boston University you become just another number to them.

I merely did well on my SATs. My high school grades were, average, not phenomenal. Write well on your application, especially if you are applying to COM.

I got in through good grades and a strong scheduleDec 01 2005Political Science
I got in through good grades and a strong schedule. About half of the students get in here; it's a fairly competitive school, but certainly not impossible.

Focus on choice of classes and take as many APs as possible.
