Solid GPA in HS. Great SAT scores. Extensive extracurricular activities and honor societies. Great teacher recs. basically everyone at BU is a ivy school reject, unless they are in CGS or are legacies

Wasn't hard really. Took SATs, had a mediocre GPA, but wrote a killer personal statement and had a glowing recommendation. Don't be one of 'those' people who live from AP class to AP class, beating yourself up over that awful A- you got. Just be human. Have your own goals, speak with your own voice, and don't be afraid to say something that your "How to Get into College" book forbids you constantly from saying, as long as your sincere about what you're putting across.
Basically, get over getting into college and just go. The admissions folks seem to appreciate the applicants who are willing to carve their own way through, even if it might be risky.

Good grades, great SATs. Work hard and don't slack. Make note of what school at BU you apply into.
