BU is not hard to get into:
get a respectable SAT score i.e., 1850+
Don't get less than a 3.00 GPA and you're in.
You can join clubs but BU understands you're just gonna get sucked into the system

I wrote a really inspirational essay about how I decided to become an engineer. I wasn't exceptional at grades, but I showed a love for what I do and I think that made an impact on my admission. I didn't split my time amongst a lot of clubs, but instead focused on two clubs that pertained to what I would do in the future.

Basically, I have high GPA,I am extremely active person, I am involved in various extracurricular activities, I am creative and well-rounded student. I like writing essays, but I have very low ACT/SAT scores. Is it going to affect negatively my admission into BU?
ACT: 17 SAT: 1191 Female
I was in the top 15% of my class,Oct 11 2010Art & Design Department
I was in the top 15% of my class, but nothing super amazing to make me stand out. I did and led a lot of activities- but I wouldn't even worry about that, because I don't know how much any of it helped in the end.

My advice: just apply even if you don't think you'll get in or even if you don't want to come here. I never saw the campus (or gave a crap about the school to be honest I thought it was for dumb kids) until I was in and crunching numbers with my dad. If you do get in- VISIT. you might fall in love!!
