If you really want to get into Champlain College,Jul 11 2018Computer Science
If you really want to get into Champlain College, do not use the Common Application. Champlain has its own application for you to use instead. This application is called the Dean's Application. You can only do it if you have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in high school (it might be 3.5, I do not remember, I did it 3 years ago as of writing this).
The admissions process for Game Design is rigorousNov 15 2016Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
The admissions process for Game Design is rigorous. I had to design and present a board game on top of the regular application. This is a serious project and requires a lot of thought and planning. My final product was something I was proud of and I believe it helped me with acceptance into the program.

It is pretty easy to get in, but if you are having trouble just tell them you're a minority. Also I recommend asking for more money regardless of what they give you.

Keep your grades up. Mine weren't that high, but each year after my class, the average GPAs of incoming students seemed to be going up.

I think between having a well written essay, being very engaged in sports, and having several good references split up between HS teachers and coaches really helped.

I sent over my transcript from CCV and wrote an essay on why I would be a good investment as a student at CCV. That's it, if you have decent grades before you go and can write an essay then you are in.
