Claflin University is an excellent University with an outstanding reputation. Claflin University was not only rewarding in my educational endeavors, it also instilled in me confidence and any Claflin Alumnus would tell you that that confidence is the “Claflin Confidence†that confidence that you can achieve anything. Claflin University is a small institution with a big education. I would recommend Claflin University to any student that has a thrust for education!

Claflin University is an excellent University with an outstanding reputation. I got a scholarship to come here so I was pretty willing to move from home to attend university. Claflin is not an extremely difficult school to get into. I think the average GPA is a 3.0 and SATs are around 900. If you want to attend an HBCU circa 1900 students on a 32 (I believe) acre campus with 8 BGLO's...then apply to Claflin. The Greek life there is prevalent, and most of the student government officers are in a fraternity or a sorority. Churchs are also throughout the town so if you are a Christian, it is a big plus to attend the university. Especially since Claflin is affliated with the United Methodist Church.

If you still want to go, then be prepared to do constant work and last minute work given by professors. Also, if you did beyond excellent and got in the Honors College, then you are all the way in and have nothing to worry except keeping a high gpa.
