I worked hard to achieve good grades in High School as well as practiced to become a better musician. My work ethic resulted in the college actively pursuing me as a student. I communicated with admissions frequently to work out any issues that my have arisen. Communicating with admissions and the department(s)you intend to be in is the best policy for admission

I tried to get a rather decent score on my ACT (i.e. 26-28). Although lower is fine. I also stayed active in highschool, did a lot of community service, and got good grades. CMU offers a lot of athletic scholarships and academic scholarships. It's yours for the taking!
