Each school is different, HSS is pretty easy andAug 05 2008Business - Management and Administration
Each school is different, HSS is pretty easy and CFA requires good portfolios. Tepper and SCS are the hardest and require Ivy-like credentials. CIT/MCS are about average and require Top 25 credentials.

Carnegie Mellon For Business and, from what i've heard,Apr 04 2007Business - Management and Administration
Carnegie Mellon For Business and, from what i've heard, any of the sciences or engineering programs, is impossible to get into. I was one of only 80 freshmen accepted into Tepper. If you plan on coming for business and you are not valedictorian pr have a perfect SAT score, then don't even bother applying. I was fourth in my high school class, my school's vice-president, president of my school's DECA (business club) chapter, and got a 1480 on the SAT. I barely got in to Tepper, and only because i did the pre-college program here over the summer.
SAT: 1400 Male
As an emmancipated minor in high school supporting myselfNov 25 2006Unknown
As an emmancipated minor in high school supporting myself by working nearly full time and going to high school during the day, life was hard. Carnegie Mellon's rep met me at a high school college fair. They got my situation and really tried to sell me on their school. For more than three months they sent me mailings on how I could attend and called me to ask how the search for a school was coming. The rep had a dean at the school send me a personal letter. In the end, I went a different way, but their care and treatment of their students has stayed with me over the years in a way that makes me grateful and is actually difficult to express on the level it touched me. Thanks guys if you're reading this.
