Good grades, good sats, good extracurricularsAug 07 2006Computer Science
Good grades, good sats, good extracurriculars. However, CMU is one of the few schools that will actually read your ENTIRE application (they don't just randomly cutoff on numbers).
SAT: 1500 Male
Admissions is pretty bipolar, they'll take people if theyFeb 18 2006Economics
Admissions is pretty bipolar, they'll take people if they show interest and excuse a few low grades/test scores.
SAT: 1600 Male
Make sure you are ready to work when youJan 28 2006Business - Management and Administration
Make sure you are ready to work when you come here but keep in mind that we do have fun. If you can express interest and show that you are willing to handle the courseload and not merely coming for the prestige of the program, then you will do fine.
Be yourself, be uniqueDec 17 2005Design Arts - Industrial Design/Graphic Design/etc
be yourself, be unique. this isn't a school to waver around and figure out your major later. you have to know coming in what you want to do pretty specifically, anyone who is wishy washy is proven to take a long time to graduate, feels depressed or unmotivated, and ends up spending money on a guilty feeling. come here if you know it's the best place for your particular field, even though it's so hard to know that in high school.
SAT: 1380 Female
I did absolutely nothing besides submitting my app onNov 14 2005Engineering Department
I did absolutely nothing besides submitting my app on the due date, but I heard that if you want one of the big scholarships (and who doesn't) that you MUST interview, at least with an alumni, and preferably at the school.
