If you have a high SAT score, your GPA might not have to be as high, because they are most likely looking for unique and well rounded students to excel in music and study abroad experiences. Numbers are their bread and butter; they plaster them all over informational booklets and the website like trophies.Get over a 3.4 GPA, get a solid SAT (1220+) and combine it with good essays talking about the "Welcoming campus environment, sense of community, and your commitment to service" and you'll get in, no doubt. Just work hard. Applications are similar to any other school. You need to look at social life, school moral and not just the academics. What is the point of going to a top notch school but you are not happy? Took the SAT twice, achieved an average/above average score, maintained a strong senior year course load and graduated with a 3.6gpa. I was in NHS and the Future Educators Association. |
