UPPER-DIVISION TRANSFER STUDENT: I have a 4.0 GPA, completed every course on the required and recommended list, and if 3 units were required but 6 were recommended, I took the 6 units. I had several years of full-time work experiencec in the field, as well. Basically, I was the perfect applicant...

I was offered admission in early March, and it felt good.

However, a month after I applied I ended up changing my major to something more inspiring, something that would allow me to make an impact on the world. I decided that Accounting, profits, and the bottom line were not going to make me feel good. In business, unfortunately, you can't be for profits AND people.

At Poly you can't change the major you're applying for after you submit your application. If you want to switch you must enroll as your accepted major, then spend 1 to 2 quarters at Poly before you can APPLY to switch majors.

Be sure about your major before you apply, and good luck.
