Civil Engineering
Aug 31 2010
Admissions have gotten tougher due to limited space. Civil Engineering is an impacted major, so scoring well on the SAT (math and reading) and a high school GPA > 3.6 (since average GPA is 3.55) will probably do it.

For "real majors" you actually do need decent grades. Architecture has an average GPA of 3.9 (unweighted) whereas engineering is around 3.7. All other underwater basket-weavers should get the hell out and transfer to CSULA! Bunch of crybabies!

I applied with good grades. I didn't do so well on the SAT, but they still let me in.
