| Apr 01 2013 | Get a decent ACT score and letters of recommendation.
Get an average ACT score, and put some effort into your essay. To get into Colorado State University I kept my grades up in high school and I had a 21 ACT score. I wrote an essay and printed it on stone colored paper so that my essay stood out instead of looking at another black and white essay (go to Office Max for legal stone pattern paper). I had two letters of recommendation and I also visited the school. While there I talked with administrative persons and talked to other current students. If you don't think you will be accepted into the college of your major then apply as open option because there is a better chance of being accepted.
