I obtained a great amount of debtJul 09 2016Business - Management and Administration
I obtained a great amount of debt. In addition, I know the reality that professors are just as flawed as everyone else. The title of Ph.D. requires more effort and extra attention; accolades without service is unjustified.

I printed out a paper application from their website,Mar 16 2015Telecommunications
I printed out a paper application from their website, filled it in and mailed it in with my transcript, application fee and test scores. That's about it. Something like 70% of students who apply will get in. If you can manage a C average, you're fine. If not, take some classes at a nearby community college like Pasadena CC and transfer in. You'll actually save money that way anyway.

if they are willing to learn, they can be here but it won't be what they expect.

I would recommend that other students actually steer clearFeb 06 2015Math
I would recommend that other students actually steer clear of cal state la if they are going to major in STEM and Biological Sciences. The reason is that it really does matter where you go even if they have been told otherwise. At this school, you are most likely going to find professors who will dumb you down or spend hours on problems that are not even worth their time. You may even find students who are just so anti-social and not want to socialize with anyone. The vibe is kind of depressing when you are walking to class. You see people walking alone to class and that's now how it should be. There is rarely any interaction between different ethnicities. Have never even seen this happen before. They eye with suspicious looks and don't seem comfortable talking to you.
Class work is too easy and professors are paid poorly. One English professor even confessed that they make under $20,000. Can't believe someone would spend so many years at a university just to make that little.
If you are the kind of person who would want to study, go someplace else. Honestly, I just don't see how anyone can learn. The more prestigious the university, the better. Steer clear of this university if you want to party as well. There is absolutely no social life here. And faculty members are not always going to be friendly, especially EOP and the Computer Science department where the front-desk lady is rude and does not even spend time to help you out.
