I took the standard courseload to transfer into one of the university of california campuses like Berkeley or UCLA, as an English major mind you. Hence I was totally unqualified to take calculus and organic chem when I got there. If you aren't an engineering major, or a freshman applicant, don't waste your time.

I had a 27 ACT and a 3.6 GPA when I got in, and I got tagged by the honors unit, so something slightly less than that should get you in. Get involved with extracurriculars, and try to get some leadership experience in there somewhere. The Citadel is very selective. They take about 650 out of a pool of 2000 accepted, so it IS competitive.

I was a HS athlete who received average to above average grades. The inporatant thing is to go the the school for an interview. Show your academic achievments as well as your athletic achievments. A student at this schoo must be a "student" and an athlete. Physicl fitness as well as academics is a top priority.
