| Jun 02 2012 | I am in the PhD in Organizational Management Track with Capella, and have an MBA from Saint Leo University and have attended Regis University's Master's of Computer Science on-line track. All of my undergraduate work took place in a traditional class room setting with Saint Leo. My MBA was completely on-line. I attended a year of the University of Phoenix's BDA program and found it lacking (a Doctorate is supposed to be harder than a MBA). Capella is an excellent University and the only advice I can provide before attending a Capella track is to be prepared for hard work. You will need to set aside ample study time to complete the coursework, prepare for the coursework (reading assignments, appropriate research, etc.) to participate in the course room?this is very important as you will not learn much if you do not participate. Prepare to be challenged by the faculty as they will ask you hard questions to assist your learning process.
The admissions process at Capella was easy for me; I was already in a DBA program, so transferring was nothing more that completing the paperwork and submitting transcripts, building a resume, and transferring GI Bill and Financial Aid information. In all, this process took less than three weeks.
Do a lot of research and do whats right for you!
