I was a world-class fencer on the track to the Olympics and I have known the Columbia Fencing Team coach since I was 13 yrs. old. | Aug 20 2005 | In terms of getting in, it's very very tough. I actually now help interview for the undergrad school, and trust me, of the 10-15 thousand applications that are received each year for the roughly 1,000 available spots, the majority of applicants are superb, judging from the people that I have interviewed and judging from the comments of some of the other interviewers. Sadly, the size and quality of the application pool means that many quality candidates are turned down.
