I applied to Clemson with a 3Oct 12 2009Computer Science
I applied to Clemson with a 3.73 unweighted. 1210 SAT, 28 ACT. I held leadership positions in FBLA, and was a member of Beta Club and played two sports for a year each.
I wasn't in the top 20%, not even top 30%, but made it in the top half.
I was in the largest and most competitive incoming freshman class at Clemson.

I had a disciplinary infraction as a freshman for fighting (which is QUITE embarressing to put on any college application... actually it is was ABSOLUTELY humiliating to me.)
ACT: 28 Female

Obviously doing well in school and getting good testsOct 08 2009Business - Management and Administration
Obviously doing well in school and getting good tests and grades is the biggest benefit, but you have to show Clemson you want to go here. They like to see interest on your part, so come and visit, maybe multiple times, and engage the admissions department.
SAT: 1990 Male
I was very involved in extracurricular activities, got goodJan 31 2009Genetics
I was very involved in extracurricular activities, got good grades, took AP courses, and had good SAT and ACT scores.
ACT: 31 SAT: 1300 Female
I transferred in from a local community collegeOct 29 2008Economics
I transferred in from a local community college. My GPA there was high so I'm sure that was the primary factor in my being admitted to Clemson. Freshmen admissions is very competitive. A good SAT score and solid high school coursework will be helpful for your chances of admission.
ACT: 27 SAT: 1910 Male
I did well in school top 5%Oct 27 2008Biology
I did well in school; top 5%. Made 1300 on SAT, and had letters of recommendation; one from an alum, and the other from a doctor who I shadow.
SAT: 1290 Male
