For transfer students a 2.7 GPA is good. For seniors in high school a decent SAT and your in. Why anybody would want to go to Hunter I have no idea.

Applying is simple, do it early.
Do your FAFSA early, the financial aid office really tries to give students scholarships. Take AP classes so you can skip ahead. It's not complicated.

i transferred in from a private college. Hunter is a better setting for me. Its not the best but I personally get the college feel. I think people let the negative overshadow the positive. Come on my professor this semester came from princeton university to teach here. I don't care if the class was outside, ill soak up everything my professor has.Kids from nyu transfer here as well. Enough said ...
