Duke likes people who make four-year commitments. A sport is a good way to do this, but it can be math team, Science Olympiad, Art club, cualquier, as long as you've gotten to be president/captain or something and have shown commitments.

If you have an interview, make sure to know before you go exactly why you want to go to Duke because they will ask you and they are taking notes.

Good luck!

If you don't mind hanging around the arrogant, moralless people who are one day going to rule America then:
1.) Get really good grades.
2.) Get a really high SAT/ACT score.
3.) Do a bunch of clubs/sports that you care about.
4.) Identify one of your unique passions (ex. kids, website-making, photography, etc) and focus on that in your application.
