The most important things are probably having a tough high school schedule and being involved in activities. It is not particularly important to have a leadership role as long as you're in an activity. The more AP classes you take the better but you'll get a better scholarship if you take easier classes and get good grades in them.
The important thing to note about Elmira College is that it is not prestigious to get accepted to the school, but it is prestigious to graduate. It's an easy school to get accepted to, but be prepared to work hard to get through the programs.
