Be prepared to learn so you can quickly moveFeb 28 2014Education
Be prepared to learn so you can quickly move on to transfer. I didn't see the counselor or speak much with faculty until at the end of my first year. After I spoke to a child development professor, I found out so much about my major, career opportunities, how to get permits and credentials, and was referred for a job that I just got hired. She set me up with a counselor and now I have a folder that I track my own coursework and transfer plan. ELAC is there for their students.

Admission is pretty easy. For fresh students from highschool, make sure you have good grades so you can save time and money taking all those lower division courses. For transfer students, make sure you also have good grades to save the trouble of taking unnecessary classes.
