Business - Management and Administration
FAMU recruits heavily in Chicago and my school, Whitney Young H.S., actually has a FAMU Club so the application process was easy for the students in the club. We did not get any special treatment once our applications were submitted though. Once you have sent your application in, you need to call regularly after about 3 weeks to check on the status of your application. At FAMU, as with any "black" school, it has the reputation of not getting things done unless you practically harass them. I'd suggest calling maybe twice a week, especially with financial aid. Constantly calling just reminds them that they have a job to do and people need their help in a timely fashion.

send in a application and processing fee. i had a good transcipt and test score so i didnt have to send any other materials.
Criminal
I called the office to inquire about scholarships I heard about at College Night during HS, and was awarded a full presidential scholarship one month later, the summer before the fall semester began. That's why I went to FAMU.

To get into FAMU I had decent test scores. Nothing to brag about. I had about a 3.3 gpa in high school. I was involved in different activities, and I had great recommendations, and wrote an honest personal statement. Make sure to work to get your grades at atleast a 3.0 or better...Join some clubs and have good recommendations. From there you should be good to go in becoming accepted.

People from in state can just sleep in high school and get in. I know a girl who recieved a 14 on her ACT...Enough Said. Out of State- Please Save Your Money!!!

just submit your app. i transfered...if you dont have good enough grades you can go to a ccor jc and transfer...but if you have a 2.0 still apply..you just might get in?
Art & Design Department
I got involved with the Modeling troups at FAMU, If you are into fashion, that would be a good thing to check out.
